- I don't know which model of Canon you own, but the one that's
- comperably priced to the HP660C is slower in "draft" print mode, and
- only does 360x360dpi black, if I'm remembering correctly. 600x600dpi
- black on the HP660C looks pretty spify! I was more concerned about
- maximum performance (and the position of the paper trays) than I was
- driver availability, once I discovered programs/drivers like Studio
- Pro II. I would probably have bought it even if finding a driver for
- the HP wasn't an issue, because it does so much to yield high quality
- output. It does piss me off, however, the response that I got from HP
- and the worthless manuals that came with the printer (which have no
- technical information, and assume you're using either Windows or
- MS-DOS). Of course, the Canon does have separate color ink
- cartridges, which would be nice.
